In a typical day, our child care providers are required to:
- Arrive on time and be ready to work with children
- Be prepared to get down and “dirty”
- Set-up and or cleaning up (crafts/snacks/activities)
- Be a positive role model for the children
- Supervise children of all ages
- Kneel or stoop to be at a child’s level
- Communicate, positively, with parents, children and guests
- Encourage children’s independence, development and safety
- Be willing to travel through out Multnomah County and provide on-call child care at events.
All child care providers are subcontracted through A+ Child Care to You. Thus, as a subcontractor it is the child care provider’s responsibility to provide his or her own health, dental and car insurance. In addition, child care providers claim their own taxes and are not employed through A+ Child Care to You but rather hired directly by the family or host for which the child care is being provided. A+ Child Care to You reserves the right to dismiss any child care provider at any time if there is concern about the provider’s attitude or ability to work effectively with children.
